Oregon (OR) Lottery Results:Also known as OR Lottery, it has been started in the year 1985 but it was after 7 months only when things started heating up. It is one of the members of MUSL or Multistate Lottery association. It has added many games in its kitty to entertain the players and providing them with the opportunities to earn jackpots. List of games includes the names like Megabucks, Lucky lines, Pick 4 etc.
In its starting, it offered two types of games – scratch tickets and drawing game- Megabucks. But it increased its portfolio by announcing interesting games and removing those which were less popular among the players.

How profits are shared?
It is Oregon voters who determine how the proceeds would be handled. It helps in funding economic sector, public education and Natural resources sector. 1.5% of the Lottery proceeds would be contributed towards veteran programs.
Till now $5 Billion has been contributed towards public education, $ 2 Billion against Economic development and $900 Million towards Natural Resource programs. It has also provided $500 Millions to help with problem gambling treatment programs.
It has decided that 1% of its proceeds should be contributed towards problem gambling prevention and treatment programs to help the needy.
Oregon Lottery Mobile App:
Recently in order to target the younger generation, it has come up with a Mobile application. This is because most of the US population is aging and to attract new players, they now have to look forward to the new generation. App will not serve as a betting platform but will work as a convenience for the users.
They will be able to scan tickets, check the winning numbers and can find the location of the nearby retailers. To keep the children at bay, it will work quite similar to that of iTunes, it will ask for a unqiue login ID. It will allow users to know how big they can win the jackpot and will let the players have awareness about the jackpot amount.
Sports Action:
In the year 1989, it started with a game Sports Action which is a parlay game allowing wager on National football league. Earlier the sports fraternity didn’t like the concept and were against it. Since they were legally powerless to take any action against OR Lottery, they decided that till the time betting continues, they will not let it own a NFL team.
In the year 1990, NBA (National Basketball Association) was also added in the list. But betting on NBA didn’t come up as the financially viable option and hence OR Lottery discontinued the betting.
Though legislature tried to pass the bill in the year 1997 to terminate the Lottery game but it was in 2005 when Sports Action game was outlawed.
